Here's my Edit profile for Premiere Pro:
- 8 Buttons
- 1 Slider
- 2 Dials
I use this profile every time I edit a video to save time cutting down super long segments of footage into manageable video lengths.
With the purple buttons & dial I control playback and by multi-tapping FWD & Back, it plays faster in either direction with a stop button in the middle and a job dial for similar uses.
Yellow is for easy navigation: Zoom dial to see what I'm doing and focus in on just a few frames, and buttons to quickly jump across cut sections of the video. Self-explanatory volume slider on the left (green because I associate green to common playback things because of Spotify.
I mainly live on the right side of the profile though, razor all tracks is my way to cut through multiple video and audio feeds, ripple delete keeps the timeline right, and close gap in case I need to bring a bunch of clips placed around the timeline to all stick together without going through 8 mouse clicks.
Overall, it's a really efficient and fun workflow for me, and it's possible due to the amount of Palette buttons I use in this setup!
