Installing PaletteApp

Previous Step: Connecting Palette

To install PaletteApp, follow the steps below.

1) Download the Palette Installer at the Software Setup Webpage by clicking on your current operating system icon. Please close all Adobe apps, if applicable. Open the installer.

Mac users: If you have trouble opening the installer, allow applications downloaded from identified developers.

Windows users: Select Run when prompted after opening file from Grant & Union Inc.

2) Click Next when the installation wizard appears. 

3) Accept the License Agreement and click Next. 

4) Select your desired destination folder to install Palette.

Windows users can "Create A Desktop Shortcut" by checking the option at the bottom right corner. Desktop shortcut allows for quick access to Palette app directly from the desktop itself. 

Click Next to continue.

5) Windows users can choose or create a start menu folder. To create a folder, simply type the desired folder name in the text box. Not applicable for Mac OS.

Click Next to continue.

6) The components listed will be installed to allow you to use Palette with various Adobe applications. Click Next to continue.

7) Install PaletteApp. There will be a permission prompt to make changes. Type your password to continue with the installation. Windows may not require this prompt. 

8) During first time installation on Windows, there will be prompts for installing two required drivers - from Atmel Norway and Grant & Union Inc. Click Install for both. Not applicable for Mac OS.

9) Click Finish to start using PaletteApp

PaletteApp may ask to update your core. Connect Palette and click "Update"
